Scotland County Reporter separates information into clear evidence lanes. OFFICIAL / PRIMARY means the information comes from the controlling government source, such as the county website, County Clerk election archive, Missouri State Auditor, Missouri statutes or another government record. SECONDARY / REPORTED means a credible outside source summarizes information but is not the controlling public record. UNVERIFIED / LEAD means a claim is worth checking but should not be treated as established fact. These labels describe the evidence supporting a statement. Scotland County publishes an official county website, an elected-official directory, a Commission meeting schedule and an election-results archive. The Reporter has not yet located a complete online set of Commission agendas, approved minutes, roll-call votes, annual budgets, contracts, bid files or Sunshine-request procedures. Priority records are: 2025–2026 Commission agendas and approved minutes; individual motions and votes; adopted budgets and amendments; purchasing and bid records; contracts and grants; road and bridge project decisions; property and easement actions; and a clearly identified records custodian with request instructions. The official county page says the Commission meets Wednesdays and Thursdays from 8:30 a.m. to noon. A meeting schedule is not evidence of what occurred at any meeting. Proceedings will be added only when an agenda, approved minutes, recording or other retrievable source is available. This list is a research checklist, not an allegation that a record was unlawfully withheld.

MoDOT’s $3.9 million Schuyler–Scotland resurfacing contract covers four rural routes
The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission awarded W. L. Miller Company a $3.9 million resurfacing contract covering Route D from Lancaster toward Memphis, Route J from U.S. 63 to Quail Avenue near Greentop, Route U from U.S. 136 in Lancaster to U.S. 63, and Route V from Route D to U.S. 136 in Downing. MoDOT identifies the work as part of the Governor’s Rural Roads Program. Missouri PSC adopts large-load protections intended to keep data-center costs with large customers
The Missouri Public Service Commission says Ameren Missouri and Evergy have approved large-load tariffs covering customers such as data centers.
